You may have a great product/service that you know customers will love; but, if they can’t find them, they won’t buy them.

Relying on paid advertising alone to get the word out about your products/services may not give you the results you’re looking for. What you really want is a personal way to get your product in front of the people who are already looking for what you offer.

There were over 5 million Google searches done in 2014. With that much traffic, you can imagine how that has doubled in 2016 and how important it is to have a web presence today.

Before a customer even thinks about making a purchase online, they do research to see if they can benefit from a product’s benefits. This is how blogging will help your business.

Blogging is a Great way to Introduce your Products or Services to New Customers

Put yourself in your customers’ shoes for a moment. Before you make a purchase, do you research it first to make sure its benefits matches your needs?

Chances are, you’ve answered yes.

With the access the Internet offers, customers can research a product and read reviews before deciding to make a purchase.

Blogging about your products or services can help to explain how your products work, how the benefits will make life easier for your customer, and different ways they can use it.

Using your Blog to Build Interest in your Products or Services

What may be keeping you from effectively blogging for your business may be that you don’t know what to blog about.

First thing you should do is research your audience. If you already have an idea of who your ideal customer is, create blog topics that will interest them and will help make their buying experience better.

Once you’ve done this, you can use the following tips to help brainstorm blog topics.

How to Come up with Interesting Blog Topics

1. Highlight your products or services’ benefits and easy ways your customers can use it

Many times customers return a product because it doesn’t work for them.  Sometimes it’s because they don’t know how to use it. Use your posts to offer suggestions on different ways to use your product or service.  [bctt tweet=”Blog posts should give customers ideas on how they can use what you offer.”]

2. Suggest solutions to their problems

Discuss a problem your product or service fixes. Whenever we have an issue or problem, we turn to Google or similar search engines. We usually type in our issue and wait for articles that offer advice. Your article needs to be one of them as this is one effective way to get the right eyes on your product or service.

3. Engage customers in the comments of your blog posts

The comment section of your blog is a great way to get your customers experience with your product and to answer questions. Customer comments can also help influence topics for future posts.
